Ingredients:

-Beef mix pieces 750g

-Water 3 Cups

-Iodized Himalayan pink salt ½ tsp or to taste

-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tbs

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed ½ tbs

-Chaat masala 1 & ½ tsp

-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed ½ tsp

-Karahi masala 1 tbs

-Garam masala powder ½ tsp

-Sabut Dhania (Coriander seeds) roasted & crushed 1 tbs

-Kasuri methi (Dried Fenugreek leaves) 1 tsp

-Cooking oil ¼ Cup

-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 2 tbs

-Adrak (Ginger) chopped 1 tsp

-Hari mirch (Green chillies) slitted 4-5

-Tamatar (Tomatoes) halved 4

-Lemon juice ½ tbs

 

Direction:

-In a wok, add beef, water & bring it to boil, remove scum.

-Add pink salt, ginger garlic paste, mix well, cover & cook on low flame for 40-50 minutes or until 90% done.

-In a bowl, add cumin seeds, chaat masala, black pepper powder, red chilli crushed, karahi masala , garam masala powder, coriander seeds, dried fenugreek leaves, mix well.

-Balochi karahi spice mix is ready, set aside.

-Remove cover, take out beef pieces, reserve stock for later use.

-In a wok, add cooking oil, heat it, add garlic, ginger, mix well, fry for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant

-Add boiled beef pieces, mix well, cook on medium flame for 1 minute.

-Add green chillies, mix well, add tomatoes, reserved stock approx. 1 cup, cover & cook on low flame for 1-2 minutes.

-Open the lid, remove the skin of tomatoes, mix & mash tomatoes well, cook on medium flame until oil separates.

-Add 2 tbs of balochi karahi spice mix, lemon juice, mix well, cover & cook on low flame for 1-2 minutes.

-In a serving dish, add balochi beef karahi, serve with naan, salad & raita!
